Today was a big day because we did the first test drive with the new electric motor. After 15 Minutes of configurating, it reacted to the orders it got from the patented swisscleandrive Y-Box controller.

Tomorrow they'll install water cooling so we can get more power.

The new motor feels really good. It is simpler to handle than the first one was and it is incredibly smooth. It goes directly to the drive shaft without any transmission. All sounds are swallowed in the silent blocks. After the test run we took down the flange in order to make some minor changes. This can be done by one single person within 20 Minutes, which is about one hour and one person less than with the first motor support.

The most interesting question about the new motor has not been answered today: we were driving below the desired torque level because the cooling system is not completed yet. We will know more about that in a few days.
